This is an unusual and inspiring blend of genres that includes myths and fantasy with (magic) realism - if I got it right. It is the kind of book that if you get it, you'll really love. Plenty of great characters, human stories and transcending truths.There are three main stories: A couple who mourn the loss of their child and start anew, a narrative set in a different age altogether and then one set in a village with tribes people and seasons to mark the progress of time. To me it felt a melting of past, future and present with human elements in every age described. There are multiple connections and parallels that I found stimulating, such as the ages and eras referred to in the more futuristic setting, which are reflected in the seasons of the tribe people. The stone as grounding feature has a great appeal to me. A remarkable series. There is something heart-warming and comforting in this book.
